Virtues

I've mentioned Coach Jay Forte before, his company is The Greatness Zone. I met him through a professional networking, learning event, that a professional associate and friend invited me to; Dr. Charlene Rousseau, is CEO of EDC.
If it were not for these two warmhearted humans, my life would not be expanded the way it now is.
I believe, most humans, desire to leave their vices, for virtues. During a coaching session with Jay, he introduced me to the daily habit of reflecting on a single virtue.
A working definition of virtue is, a good or admirable quality; moral excellence and ethical principles.
This is noble, higher-than-self thinking. I remember reading some place, that the reason many people do not endeavor in personal growth and development is, because it's hard work.
I love my vices.
Yet, I also know, if I cling to them, instead of replacing them with virtues, the life I've envisioned and the impact I see having on peoples' lives and the world -- will be just a wish.
Jay turned me on to the Virtues Cards. You can learn more about them at the Virtues Project website.
Sometimes, striving to live the most excellent version of myself seems so big (moral excellence is deep), but the daily virtues reflection cards turns working towards that level of being, into a manageable daily routine.
