People Can Only do to You What You Allow

I saw this poster at my Beloved's daughter's choral event. I didn't think much of it. I took the picture because the title of this post is something that Beloved and I talk about frequently.

And this poster aligns with that idea.

I had no idea it was a book.

The next time your energy is supercharged in the negative emotional zone because someone has pushed your proverbial buttons, just remember, you allowed it to be so.

I read the reviews of the book and it seems promising. I may add it to my reading list.

The bottom line is, all of us are responsible for our actions and our reactions.

Regardless of how much of a jerk the other person may be.

We are in control of us. And if we lose control, the responsibility is ours alone.
