Invest

Personal growth and development means investing in yourself. That investment can manifest in whatever ways are relevant for you, at the time.
For example, I'm completing a writing course with the Institute for Writers in 2017. In order to publish my ebook this year, I must enhance my writing skills. I need to become better at public speaking and Toastmasters can always help with that (with my day job, which I enjoy, it's challenging to work that into my schedule as of this writing).
I need to learn more about SEO (search engine optimization), metaphysics, and the list goes on. Top athletes in pro sports have coaches, maybe a life or business coach can help you (I got one).
Buying books, attending webinars, attending workshops, working with a coach, costs money. I have made the choice to invest in myself. Divert money from other areas of my life to fund my growth.
Please, don't get me wrong, every growth opportunity does not mean an investment of money, it could be your time, or the choice to do one day job over another, regardless it has to be made.
In order to manifest the vision we have for our lives, we must learn new things, we must invest in our personal growth.
If you've read my blog for any length of time, you know Marie Forleo is one of my favorite people and I'm looking forward to chatting with her some day soon. In her video where she enumerates lessons learned after creating over 200 episodes of her show, she states what I'm talking about in terms of "let yourself evolve". Growth comes in different shapes and sizes.
(it's lesson #5 at the 4 minutes 50 second point in the video)
